Rock N Taco

Yes, for years Rock N Taco has rocked, tequila'd and taco'd Buckhead partons with an irreverent attitude and tasty tacos. But with many Buckhead properties being reclaimed for redevelopment, it was time to find a new location. So owner Brad Hancock made a logical decision to go back to familiar territory-very familiar. Back in the '80s, Hancock's kids would ride their bikes to a restaurant in downtown Roswell, Montego Bay, to bus tables and wash dishes. So when the 7000 square foot space came available, Hancock knew it was meant to be.

The new Rock N Taco has a simple mantra: ROCK, EAT and REPEAT. Live bands crank up every weekend playing cover tunes and huge LED screens play rock music videos by day, sports by night. 13 different varieties of globally inspired tacos with ingredients like lobster, chicken tinga, blackened shrimp, carne asada, buffalo chicken, beef brisket and seared mahi-mahi are all savory and delicious. Most of the rest of the menu hugs the Texas/Mexican border with crowd-pleasing fresh fajitas, salads, nachos and quesadillas. For dessert: a churro sundae or flash-fried ice cream and pound cake.

Of course to really rock you need drinks and Rock N Taco has them aplenty. Be sure to try the Jimmy Hendrix experience-Western Son Yuzu vodka, creme de cassis with marinated berries and served with dry ice making it look like a molten lava lamp.

Downtown Roswell had gotten a little sleepy in recent years. Rock N Taco should wake it up quite nicely.
