Ole Bolay!

There's a new "build-your-own-bowl" spot that just opened on Haynes Bridge (with more to come!) called Bolay. I tried it and thought it was fantastic and expect more to open around the ATL soon. Jump up to the counter and pick from nutritious menu options that include greens and grains like Forbidden Black Rice and Kale Yeah! Salad, freshly roasted veggies like Balsamic Mushrooms, and savory proteins like Lemon Chicken, Spicy Thai Shrimp, and Asian Sweet Potato Noodles. Founded in Wellington, Florida in 2016, Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen is a build-your-own 'Bol' restaurant taking a customizable and modern approach to dining. Created by Outback Steakhouse Co-Founder Tim Gannon and his son Chris Gannon, Bolay has a buttoned-up corporate feel to it but also does a good job making the locations feel "local" with their own operating partners and iconography to the location. Look for this to go well in the ATL.

Super Breakfast!

This was under my radar but El Super Pan serves AMAZING breakfast! The Ponce City Market location opens at 9 am all week and serves up sweet and savory pastelitos—guava and queso. These are flakey and glorious and could not be better with a cup of strong Cuban coffee. Then you must try the Egg Cuban—El Super Pan's magnificent Cuban Sandwich with a fried egg plus salami, ham, sweet cheese, and mustard toasted up perfectly on the plancha. It's truly in a class of its own. The location at the Battery serves brunch on weekends with an expanded menu that includes the aforementioned items at Ponce plus a bunch of other incredible items including Spanish omelets and salmon toast. I always crave El Super Pan in the afternoons, now I wake up with it on my mind!
